Smart Cities and Mobility Global and Local Practices for Sustainable Community Transformation

Sustainable transformation is the greatest challenge for cities and communities worldwide. The train of sustainable development is also rapidly entering Slovenian municipalities, both urban and rural. The main goal is to make cities and communities people-friendly, where residents can feel good and lead quality lives in a period marked by significant and noticeable climate change at every turn.

Sustainable transformation is enabled by a combination of new innovative ideas, approaches, and concepts, along with advanced digital technologies. The result is new solutions that will make energy and resource consumption more efficient, mobility more sustainable, and public administration more user-friendly. Together, these efforts will contribute to making cities and communities as a whole smarter.

At the conference, the main trends in the development of smart cities, communities, and mobility will be presented. We will also seek inspiration and development ideas from various best practices abroad, all aimed at the accelerated and successful development of smart cities, communities, and mobility in our region.

The conference is organized by Finance Newspaper in collaboration with the Association for Informatics and Telecommunications and SRIP Godigital.

Flavio Fuart from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia will lead a talk titled: “Podatkovni prostori: vozlišče pametnih skupnosti"/"Data Spaces: A Hub for Smart Communities".

Flavio will explore how data spaces function as a key hub for the development of smart communities and enable better management of resources and services. We will showcase practical examples where the purpose of data spaces is to improve the quality of life. Additionally, Flavio will address the technological, business, and organizational challenges and benefits that come with the implementation of these innovative solutions.

The conference is on-site, in slovenian.
