Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities is Launched

On 11 October 2022, the Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities was launched in Brussels, Belgium!

Project coordinators Open and Agile Smart Cities (OASC) led the day-long event, which was attended by the European Commission, the project consortium, project partners, associated partners and a variety of project supporters. Attendance was primarily in person at University Foundation, which was a pleasant return to physical events.

During the kick-off, attendees were introduced to the initiative, the need for this preparatory action as a part of the EC digital and sustainability twin strategies, and the planned actions throughout the year-long duration of the initiative.

The day was rounded up with break-out sessions on Governance, Tech and Data Space, and Communications and Learning that led to fruitful and interesting discussions, followed by further planning.
